Copthorne Classics is a family-run specialist dedicated to the care, restoration and enhancement of classic Jaguar and Aston Martin motor cars. From Jaguar E-Type and XK to Mk2, XJ6 and XJ-S, these are the cars we know intimately – not just how they work, but how they should feel to own and drive.

Founded by a father-and-son team, the business combines traditional engineering knowledge with modern workshop capability. Head engineer Lee Davies trained under a lifelong Jaguar factory engineer, and that foundation still defines our approach today – careful, methodical and built to last.

Jaguar specialists – with E-Type at the core

Jaguar is at the heart of what we do. We support owners across everything from routine servicing to full restoration and engine rebuild programmes, with particular focus on the Jaguar E-Type.

Alongside E-Type, we work extensively across XK, Mk2, XJ6 and XJ-S models, as well as Daimler equivalents.

Engineering, restoration and performance

Our work covers the full lifecycle of a classic car – from maintenance and engine rebuilds to full restorations and fast road development.

In-house engine building is central to the business, with experience across both six-cylinder and V12 Jaguar engines. Every build is approached with precise tolerances, carefully matched components and a clear understanding of how the car should perform on the road.

We also develop sympathetic upgrades for models such as XJ and XJ-S, improving usability and reliability while respecting the character of the original car.
